Smoke-Free Housing TrainingSmoke-Free Housing Coalition of Maine and the Partnership For A Tobacco-Free Maine Present Meeting the Demand for Smoke‐Free Housing: A FREE Training for Allied Public Health and Housing Professionals Tuesday, June 16, 2009 1:00pm-3:30pm Four Points Sheraton, Bangor The Smoke-Free Housing Coalition of Maine, in collaboration with the Partnership For A Tobacco-Free Maine, is providing this free, two-hour training specifically for allied health and housing professionals. The training will provide the justification for adopting a smoke-free policy and will provide you with the critical information necessary for effective advocacy for the implementation of such a policy in multi-family, residential settings. This is an excellent opportunity for property managers, residential coordinators, physicians and medical personnel, client advocates, health educators, public health advocates, lawmakers and others to learn about the cost effectiveness of adopting smoke-free policies in residential settings, and the ease with which such policies can be implemented. The training includes advice about the most effective messaging for advocating for change as well as publicizing the policy once it has been adopted. • Learn how easy and cost-effective it is to go smoke-free in your multi-unit building.
